That’s the catch phrase to the new Kobe System.
If you have no idea what I’m talking about, check out the new Nike commercial here staring NBA great Kobe Bryant and some of the world’s most successful individuals.
Also featured in this are … Sir Richard Branson, Jerry Rice, Tony Robbins, Hope Solo, Landon Donovan, Kanye West, Serena Williams, Larry Fitzgerald and more. A bunch of people who know what it takes to be successful.
The Kobe System is a fictious system designed to help the successful be more successful. Okay, what it’s really all about is selling Nike shoes.
But what really caught my attention is what this indicates for the Personal Development / Self Help Industry. No commercials are more larger than life than Nike Ads. Right now, Nike’s biggest draw is Kobe Bryant. So here, on one of the largest stages in TV land, Personal Development is being featured.

I get the point of the commercial is to make you laugh and ultimately to sell more of Kobe’s Nike shoes. I’m sure it will do that.
But, it also shows that Personal development is becoming more mainstream. It’s a topic big enough for Nike to use in their ad.
I hope that this will cause more people to take a look into their life. Too many of us go through life without examining how we can be living life better. Too many are Victims of circumstance rather than Owners of our results. There are still way too many people out there who are living life on everyone else’s terms and not on their own. Too many spend most of their day watching the people featured in this ad live their dreams, while sitting at home not pursuing theirs.
No, I get it, the Kobe System is a totally made up system. But, it will do good. (And I mean more good than selling Nike shoes)
I hope this commercial will encourage people to be happy, achieve their dreams and live abundant lives. Dream a little folks. Don’t let life pass you by. Strive to do what the people in this commercial already did … fulfill their dreams. The people all featured in this commercial have done that already.
So, make the Kobe System your own. Go ahead, Be Happy! Achieve Your Dreams! Live an Abundant Life!
